Cheap Dorset/Somerset/Devon

I know..... Probably the most expensive area for a holiday but we are tied to these areas due to family obligations.

Does anyone know of any fairly cheap and nice self catering cottages in these areas. Any ideas gratefully received.

Not sure when you are thinking of going but Weymouth (Dorset) is involved with hosting sailing etc during the Olympics, so that may push up prices, and make it busy there.
