Can anyone suggest a B & B/Hotel in St Ives for a couple of nights in January?

Yes! Little Leaf, run by a lovely couple, fantastic views.

Just looked at their website and they are closed til March, sorry.

The Cobbles is really cosy and close to Porthmeor beach and the Tate.

The Queens Hotel has just been renovated and has great food and is bang smack in the centre.

I've stayed at the Boskerris which is a small hotel. Not in centre of St Ives but very nice.

Are you taking the kids? If not, or perhaps if they're older, we stayed at Abode in October. It was very nice and also very personal, so if you like chatting with the owners it's for you, if you prefer more of a distance then it's not. The accommodation was lovely and the breakfasts were fab. It's a 10 minute walk to Porthminster or Porthmeor beach from there, and close to Bernard Leach/Barbara Hepworth.

Not taking the kids. We are going to a funeral and live quite a way from Cornwall so the majority of the two days will be spent in transit - thought it was to far for the children etc.

I have seen the websites of all the places people have mentioned so its really nice to get some feedback on them. Thank you.

We stayed here once. It was lovely! And right on the beach so good for a quick walk even if you don't have much time.
