Hi all

We are heading there next weekend, staying at the youth hostel whilst we visit my eldest at Uni. Can anyone recommend stuff to do and places to eat. Our children are aged 5, 16 and 19.

Thanks in advance

The City museum is good too, for kids. Don't know about 16, 19yo but Blaise Castle has a great playground as well as nice natural area in its estate, Gloucester Road has a nice stretch of independent shops, the Arnolfini has free exhibitions. The aquarium, At Bristol and the SS Great Britain are centrally located, and pretty good, but expensive. You can take little ferries in the harbourfront area and these aren't expensive. To eat: Cafe Maitreya is fantastic for vegetarian food, on St Mark's road. Clifton Sausage in Clifton is a super gastropub which has good veg options as well as, of course, sausages. Krishna's on the Triangle has very good South Indian food. have fun!
