Hi Im looking for advice on when would a good time to visit legoland/london next year. DS is now 4 but only in pre school so we can do term time and weekdays. We dont want it too be too hot but still want to be in with a reasonable chance of good weather.

We are planning on travelling up by train and staying local to legoland and then doing a couple of days doing the sights in London. We are expecting a baby in early nov too so am I insane considering this? We could do the 4/5hr drive but the train would be so much more relaxing although luggage would be an issue.

I would really love to do the new legoland hotel and it doesnt seem too expensive considering it includes tickets but then I realised I have to pay extra for baby even though I have to provide my own cot! Plus is it accessible easily by train? If we do 2 days in legoland and 1 night hotel we have no where to put luggage

Would we be better doing London or legoland first? Any recommendations for accomadation in London or nearby. Maybe we would be better just doing hotel for the duration and getting train to windsor/into legoland.

Any help appreciated as this will be our main holiday.

Don't try and do too much. Legoland can be quite exhausting for a 4 year old stick to one place rather than trying to go into London as well. what would you do for a day in London that wouldnt leave you all really tired and fed up! 2 days at LL will be great and you will all be exhausted. Best time of year would be when it is sunny so if you are flexible then why not do a weather check and book with a couple of days notice.

Legoland is not far from Windsor station and i believe there is a bus that goes from the station to Legoland.
The new hotel was being built when we were there you will be right beside everything if you stay there, bet it will be fab. London is exhausting and so is Legoland. I wouldn't stay in London and get the train out much too long a day particularly with a baby. You could do 2 days Legoland then 2 days London or vice versa, everything will be a huge disappointment to a 4 year old after legoland

Hello again just found my thread. Now thinking of booking up and looking at how to make it cheaper.

Thinking of June -in the week- when weather is reasonable. Looking at the legoland hotel but its so expensive!

Any suggestions/tips appreciated!
