Pembrokeshire - things to do?

Can anyone give us ideas of nice things to do on a weekend away in Pembrokeshire - no kids with us, was thinking of long lunches in nice pubs, walks on beaches etc.

Any recommendations would be lovely of nice pubs/restaurants/beaches/pretty villages..?

Thank you!

Tenby is absolutely lovely. Lots of places to eat, they run boat trips from the harbour www.tenbyseacruises.com/ and you can go visit chocolate making monks. Have fun :)

Newport is a lovely village, very busy in the summer, but calmer now Smile

You can walk up Carningli with amazing views, or along the river and join the beach.
'The Canteen' does great food in the heart of the village, the best pub is The Golden Lion.

Narbeth is lovely too, further inland and i'm not sure about walks, but good restaurants and cafes.

Have a lovely weekend!

Walks - you need the Pembs coastal path, it's fab.

Lots of lovely circular walks possible using some of it, eg Dale peninsula, Angle peninsula or coast around Tenby.

Tenby itself lovely, we go there every year with our 3 DC. Best beach this year was Freshwater West (as seen in Harry Potter films) - great for surfing. I also love Whitesands Bay near lovely St David's. Newgale also great and Tenby of course.

Where are you in Pembs?

MonMome · 11/09/2011 22:11

Walk from Abereiddy (4-ish miles north of St Davids) to Porthgain on the coast path, have some food here and then walk back :)

Pub food also lovely here

Re Internet -I know they got us up to date @3 years ago, and noone i know here in North Pembs is on dial up now, so things are improving sloooowly.. 'tis the normal pace around these parts, as you probably are aware of Grin
