Booking a disabled space on a train

When I go on long journeys with DS I book a disabled space on the train. We have done this on 4 journeys before with no difficulties.

I tried to book a space today for our outwards and return journeys and I was told that it's not possible to do it for Maclaren Majors, despite the fact that they are classed as wheelchairs. They said it was because if a wheelchair boarded, we would have to move.

Is that right?

Not to mention that scenario probably never happening, because when you book assistance they check that the train hasn't already got too many wheelchairs already booked on it. If there are, then they won't let you book assistance for that train and you have to get a different one.
