Depends what you want from a holiday.

We've been there every year for the past three years or so. It is our children's holiday.

The hotel is clean, food is quite nice, staff very friendly. I would definitely recommend going to the hotel.

My children adore it and are currently unhappy because we're off to Centre Parcs soon, and they much prefer Butlins!

You will, however spend most of your time sitting around whilst your child goes from activity to activity, so take a good book.

H, its fab for children- my ds loves it and we've been 3 x. Going to try Minehead in Aug. For younger children the Shoreline - home of Billy Bear and older children The Ocean Hotel. Have a lovely time, your DC will love it.

We went for the first time last October. DH was a bit sniffy about it but it turned out to be a really lovely break.
We stayed at the Ocean hotel which was spotlessly clean, well designed.
We opted for the breakfast and dinner choice - food was very very good. Way beyond our expectations of Butlins!
The DCs aged 2, 4 and 13 LOVED it!
The little ones enjoyed the soft play, mini shows in the skyline pavilion and the 13YO did the highropes and climbing wall etc.
A great time was had by all. We're going back this October and this time I'm going to book a spa treatment well in advance - nearly everything was already booked when we got there.
We also go to Center Parcs which is lovely but we feel there is more stuff for the children to do at Butlins and, of course, its quite a bit cheaper!
Hope you enjoy your holiday!
PS DH's sniffy attitude was unfounded, as (in his words) it was pretty much "chav free"!!
