Centerparcs - recommended activities

We're going to Longleat Centerparcs after the Easter holidays with PIL, and two DCs (2 and 1). I've been browsing the activity brochure and don't know if there's anything worth booking. I was assuming we'd spend most of the week visiting Longleat itself, cycling and swimming but is anything else good for small children?

I quite fancy a go in the spa since PIL will be gagging able to look after the DCs while DH and I relax - what treatments are worth it?

Thanks in advance for any recommendations/advice!

the spa is fab so I would definitely say book in for that! As for the children I would not bother spending money on activities there is enough to do with swimming cycling and play grounds. We never book extra activities for ours and they have a fab time

I didn't have any treatments just enjoyed 3 hours peace in the spa bliss!!

Thanks for that Connor :) I'd love just a few hours to sit around in a spa and do nothing

Take loads of value loaves to feed the ducks!

Possibly the teddy bears picnic or the panto/show, but they may be too young for those even. Would say probably better to keep your money for stuff for you really at this age unless your 2year old is going on 3...?

If you have PIL to babysit then don't bother with the time out club etc. Unless you all want an evening out for a childfree meal.

Hire yourself a bike with the pull along sit in thing for them so you can go out for rides.

Stick to the baby pool area for your sanity and maybe the big pool when the waves are on. And make use of the baby pens and take a few 'beach' toys for the little one so you can relax a bit from time to time when you want them to sit in one spot while you get a drink or pop to the loo etc.

Thanks gillybean - 2yo is going on 3 but not sure she'd sit still for a show. We've got bikes with child seats so we're looking forward to using those.

Good tip about the ducks, that's the kind of thing I always forget. PIL are going to be great for babysitting, MIL is desperate to do that so will love it.

I didn't know there were baby pens, that will be useful!

The spa is lovely at Center Parcs although I haven't been to Longleat. Definitely recommend chilling out there with DH

Thanks Rookie :) It's been far too long since I was in a spa of any kind tbh.
