Hi everyone .... i'm thinking of taking my 6 year old to legoland windsor in August. Does anybody know of, or can reccommend somewhere to stay that isnt going to cost an arm and a leg? We live in Edinburgh and are driving down so its gonna be costly enough as it is

It doesnt have to be the greatest place in the world...just cheap, clean and comfortable

thanks in advance :)

You can usually get a room at the bracknell Hilton for about 40 pounds

It will be mobbed in August. We went for a weekend away at October half term and it was the queues for the rides that got us down - nothing less than 30 mins for the better rides which is a long time for the under 10's to wait. We waited for one ride for almost an hour. We travelled by train with a family railcard (a lot cheaper than the petrol and driving) we stayed about 20 mins away in a chain hotel which was fine for what we wanted. Other than the queues it was a great place and our 3 really enjoyed it. Why not stay somewhere completely different - an hours drive away - and drive over there. All the hotels nearby will be expensive in August but those further out won't be. Could break the journey up a bit for you too. Top tip - get there as early as poss and take spare clothes for all of you!
