Quite fancied the idea of going to the original in Denmark so will need to see how the cost pans out here.

Needing advice ladies.

Bit worried about how close this is to London as no way do I want to drive anywhere near the city. Is it fairly easy and straightforward to get to?

Also does anyone have any recommended hotels at all? Was thinking of going down one day (live outside Edinburgh) and having a nights rest in the hotel before going to the park the next day.

It is in Windsor Great Park which is nowhere near London itself (ie. 40 mins into London Waterloo by train). Relatively straightforward drive from M25/M4.

We went as part of a trip to London. Got train down to Kings Cross which takes about 4 hours from Edinburgh. Spent a few days sightseeing and one day at Legoland (train from Waterloo to Widsor then special bus to legoland).

Thanks for all the info. Actually I think I might arrange a proper trip to London itself, like you did Jacaqueen. It'll need to be next year but that sounds like a good idea and train is better than driving!!

Luckily I think most of our holidays are different from English schools cat!
