Anyone done it? What's it like?

Dreadful dreadful dreadful!!!!! Southport is just plain awful!!! We had the so called top of the range chalet and got bitten by fleas, our shoes literally stuck to the carpet if you stood still for a second or two. We had 3 chalets and all equally horrendous. The only free activities were the park and swimming pool (at certain times). The swimming pool is on the first floor and the handrail literally fell off as I went upstairs. The pool was filthy. If you decide to have a go at an activity like the climbing wall and zip slide you have to pay £5.60 per child for 15 minutes EACH activity ie you can't go up the rock wall and slide down the zip wire, no that would cost £11.20pp!!! If there's a lot of people waiting to use the activities you get one climb/zip for £5.60 and are constantly rushed to hurry up. If it rains everything's cancelled.
In a word, don't, just don't!
Haven and Butlins are alot lot better!!
