cottages in Highlands?

We've pretty much agreed to holiday at home this year and are thinking about driving north and renting a cottage somewhere. Does anyone have any recommendations of places to stay? We've got 2 DC (7 years and 15months), would like 2 bedrooms, close to beach and apart from that we're flexible. Have been looking on-line but would lve some personal recommendations. Thanks

They do look lovely - Skye might be a wee bit too far to drive, but will definitely consider - thanks!

What about this place, it overlooks the Moray Firth with stunning views and you can watch the Dolphins and you can walk down to the beach from the cottages?

Have sent an enquiry to Hillockhead - might be a bit more than DP wants to spend though!

My mother in law looks after this one, it's a lovely house and Gairloch is a stunning place. Does depend on what you really want then you get there though?
