Hi, we are looking at going away for a weekend for half term. We had planned to go to Forest dean in Gloucester but have left it late to book so all the cabins have gone. Can anybody recommend a forest break in the UK please? we dont mind a max 3 hr drive from London thankyou :-)

Coombe Mill in Cornwall is a perfect kids holiday, in a wooded valley. Shell woods just round the corner and the end of the camel trail just short walking distance, you wouldn't be short of stuff to do! They have River lodges which are nice, but quite small (not sure how many of you there are) and Scandanavian lodges which are really nice. Lot more space in Scandanavian lodges, which is good for Feb when you never know what the weather is going to do! Worth giving them a call to see if they have any availability.
