self catering accommodation near York

Could anyone recommend good, clean, comfortable, non smoking, pet free accommodation for 4 adults (- 2 elderly) and 4 children (between the ages of 5 and 10)in or near York?

It must pass my mothers very high cleanliness standards!
My husband needs Internet access!
I need help!

We are planning to go early April for 1 week.

It does not have to have access to a swimming pool etc but it would be convenient if it was near a shop or somewhere nice to eat. We will have our own transport.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

have you thought of a youth hostel camper? OK the accomodation is basic in terms of facilities, and your mum may have to compromise her high standards, but they have self-use kitchens, or meals provided if you prefer, lots of space, usually internet access and outside space for the kids. There is one in the centre of York, www.yha.org.uk I think, which looks great.
