as above really - I will most likely still be feeling rubbish (morning sickness etc) but need to plan a get away - hate being pregnant! So looking for self catering, somewhere where everything is easy - eg 2 min walk to child friendly beach, or maybe on a farm where there are some animals to entertain little one...
Not too expensive though - any suggestions? Thinking Dorset? We're in Oxon and don't want to have to drive miles.

its not uk but how about jersey? 35 mins on a plane, lovely beaches, zoo, bowling, shops and plenty of countryside to play in? just a thought. i cant advise on prices or anything like that, but it fits your description and is lovelySmile

check out Herston Leisure Park near Swanage - steam train ride to beach, Corfe Castle, NT beaches and public beach near Swanage. Log cabins with hot tubs (with lids so no one falls in), wood burners, and generally good state of accommodation.

Or www.scoles.co.uk - converted farm buildings.

North Norfolk is lovely - lots of lovely cottages around there, and cheaper than the West Country.

I'd second Swanage "lagrand" or Weymouth is a great place to take kids, but have only stayed on a Haven site in Weymouth which might be a bit too far from the beach for you (although I think there are buses).

Or will your budget stretch to Center Parcs? We're off to Nottingham in March (Longleat would be closest to you) when I will be 30 weeks pg - I'm really looking forward to it!

Hello,

What about Bluestone? Its down in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, its about an hour and a half from Cardiff?

We went twice last year and is amazing, it has its own waterpark and adventure centre for the children and you can hire gold buggies to get around the place.

I have found it very reasonable compared to Centre Parcs - its worth checking it out?
