Premier Inns not so family friendly

Hi, I took my 9 month old to a local premier inn, I was astonished to find out that they wouldn't heat up her homemade lunch, nor would they let me have some hot water on the table so I could do it 'bain-maire' I had to spend 15 mins at the bar to warm it up. Needless to say when I got back to my daughter she was in a bit of a state. Fortunately a good friend was with me so she wasn't left alone. I checked the website, they claim to be family friendly, me thinks this is only when children can feed themselves. If I am going out for lunch I now phone ahead to make sure food can be heated, so I can make alternative arrangements if not.
Just want to let you mums know that Premier Inn aren't baby friendly.

Could you not have left the food at the bar, and returned when it had warmed through?

Premier Inn are a hotel chain. If you're talking about the restaurants which they are sometimes attached to, you are talking about "Brewers Fayre"

I would imagine that they can't give you hot water at your table as this may constitute a risk to other diners.

How did the bar warm the baby food up?

Loads of places don't let you warm up baby food. Tis health & safety (apparently). Think it's actually so that you don't sue them if you manage to scald your baby with food they have heated up for you. No idea why you couldn't have hot water on the table though. Supposing you wanted a cuppa?

Why did you have to spend 15 minutes at the bar?

I find them very family friendly and the restaurant attached is a seperate entity so it is unfair to say this about Premier Inn IMO.

The water thing is common and is a health and safety thing.

Well, they probably won't take responsibility for heating up a meal for a baby, in case it is the wrong temperature and they get sued. Likewise letting you sit at a table with a baby and a bowl of hot water which could spill and cause a nasty scald.

Couldn't your friend have gone to warm up the food for you? Or you could have kept your daughter with you, or as shatner says gone back to the table.
