restaurants in Birmingham

I'm having a girly weekend in Birmingham and wondered if any B'ham mumsnetters had any recommendations for lovely restaurants ( not curry houses though pls). We're staying at Hotel du Vin so somewhere near there would be good. Also are there any nice bars open late that cater for the 35+ crowd. I really don't want to be surrounded by loud, drunk 20 yr olds.

I'd recommend the Mailbox, there's a Cote bistrot which is nice and also a very nice Thai. Or the restaurants around Brindley Place as well - Bank is good.
