Weekend In Liverpool

In Liverpool from Friday midday until Sunday midday with partner and ds age 11. We are going to watch Liverpool v West Ham Saturday from 530 other than that we have nothing planned. We have never been to Liverpool before and would appreciate some suggestions as to where we should visit please.

Walker Art Gallery or the World Museum - Museum in particular is very child friendly, lots of 'hands on' stuff for DS

Albert Docks (take a coat, it's windy) - you could do the traditional Ferry across the Mersey.

Have a look round the two Cathedrals

Flisspaps, thanks for the tips. We spent most of our time in the Albert Docks area, visited maritime and slavery museum. Brilliant exhibition on Shackleton and The Endeavour. We had a quick visit to the art gallery but ran out of time, planning another visit next year. Oh and Liverpool won! Fantastic weekend.
