Parks in New Forest

Will be staying in Brockenhurst next week, can anyone tell me of any parks in the new forest. Nothing fancy just swings and slides to give 2 DD somewhere to play. Already have some great days out planned thanks to previous posts looking forward to Beaulieu, days at the beach, hiring bikes, moors valley park but looking for some low key entertainment as well.

I thought the Forest was just one biiig playground? :)

I'm not aware of any specific play facilities in any of the bits of the forest that i'm fairly familiar with (mostly areas around Burley north and west).

Some of the small towns might have the odd playground - but the local goverment website seems to be a bit lacking in detail.

There is a really nice big playground at moors valley, so they won't completely miss out.

A quick poke on google says that the main playground in Brokenhurst is currently closed.

The next nearest is probably Lymington, the council website there says that "Children can enjoy the Council?s numerous play areas located around the town. Fitted with climbing frames and other adventure equipment, these areas are situated in the riverside Bath Road Recreation Ground, at the rear of St. Thomas? Church off Emsworth Road (with swings and slides); also Pennington Common, Lymington Meadows, Grove Gardens, Woodside Gardens and Deneside Copse."

Hope this helps...
