Hi,

I'm looking for some accommodation recommendations either in Scotland, Northumberland, Yorkshire or the Lakes for myself, OH and our 8 month old baby this Autumn? Would prefer LO to be in his own room :)

Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you thought of renting a house? It's usually good value and you've got all the facilities you'd have at home. If you google holiday home lets or holiday cottages to rent you should get a wide selection.

Hope this helps a little, sorry I can't offer any specific recommendations.

Thanks, we'd like a cottage but was just wondering if anybody had stayed anywhere they would recommend before we started looking!

Like having DS in his own room too much to consider hotels now!

Yes I've got a recommendation. We stayed with Coquet Cottages. Absolutely fantastic, and a number of people we know have gone since and been just as bowled over. When I emailed the lady who runs the company to book, I mentioned it was a birthday treat for DH. There was a card and a lovely Arran Aromatics present waiting for him. Plus wine. Plus beer. Plus cake. Absolutely wonderful.

We stayed in this one.

Warkworth is a really nice village, with a Patisserie, pubs and a castle, but there are properties elsewhere too.

That looks GORGEOUS! I'd be there in a shot only it would mean sharing a room with LO! X Deffo one to remember for the future though, thanks

They have lots of other properties with more bedrooms here (all lovely):

Glad you liked it Smile
