Do not use this company!!!!!
They are not qualified!!! We live in the UK, my child needed a GCSE maths tutor, they allocated a Colombian IT student! After complaining they tried to charge a £200 cancellation fee. The Colombian student then passed my child’s number to a different person who tried persuading her to commit to online lessons with them! She blocked all the numbers. I have sent numerous emails but no reply. We presumed the matter had been resolved but we have recently started receiving emails asking us to restore the lessons & make payment. We are worried this company could damage our credit score. We thought this company was recommended by our child’s school however they simply advertised on one the school platforms making us think they were legitimate… they are not!!!!

How did they manage to use your school platform to advertise if it wasn’t approved? Do the school know?

GoStudent advertised on Seneca, a link the school sent to us. We have reported this to the school, they are aware of the situation.

They contacted me via LinkedIn to get me to become a tutor with them. Obviously not going to do so as I doubt they pay tutors a fair rate and my reputation would be tarnished if they are trying to ‘lock’ parents into long term commitment

I also had a bad experience with them a couple of years ago and was shocked to recently see them advertising on Seneca. Like yours, my son’s school encourages students and parents to use Seneca and the way that the ‘advertising’ is done (as a link to click for additional support) definitely appears like an endorsement which I can see might give a false sense of security for parents.
