Hi I'm currently in the process of finding a tutor. I'm using the website tutorful if anyone has experience of that? I've got two tutors who seem to be a good fit, is it okay to get both of them for a trial session or is it best to put all eggs in one basket? I'm not sure how this is usually done!

Yes, you can have a paid trial with both tutors if they are happy with that. I would always try to go with your preferred tutor first. Be aware that some tutors will be filling up fast for September so once you have made a decision make sure you communicate it fast. A trial session does work both ways: a tutor can decide not to take you on. Another thing to note is that Tutorful take a hefty commission/service fee (35%) on each session and your tutor cannot take you privately once you sign up to Tutorful. If you are paying £30, your tutor is getting just under £20.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
