Anyone’s children actively using AtomLearning at the moment?

We are one week in and I’d be interested to hear how others are finding it and how your using the Parent Portal.

I’m just letting my ten year old crack on at the moment. I signed up for the May expensive one to aid an entrance exam alongside an hour of tutoring a week. We’ve only got four full months to get ready so I’m not sure it’s long enough but we’re averaging anywhere between half an hour and an hour and a half a day at the moment.

As it’s mastery level we’re focusing on maths, English and non verbal reasoning.

Thought I’d update this. Well it’s been bloody cracking! Honestly. Complete game changer for us.

We are also using a local tutor once a week as the entrance exam is October. I still don’t know if we’ll actually do it but I’m assuming we will until we don’t.

Time wise I think we’re averaging 15 mins daily and maybe an hour and a half across the weekend. It’s portable so it can come on holiday with us. He enjoys it and likes the format. It enables us to see the gaps in learning and then we take that to the tutor. So it’s been great at highlighting what he doesn’t know as well as what he does.

I don’t think I’ll carry on with Atom past the exam but I might carry on with the real life tutor as she’s just lovely and the next target will be SATS. So all in all it’s been really positive (albeit expensive). If anyone fancies giving it a try then PM me for a referral code and it’s then £30 off the fist month subscription.
