7+ group tuition

I was hoping to get some opinions about group tuition for 7+, especially Helen Grogan in Chelsea as it is close to us but also any others. Is it worth it, did it work for you, did your son/daughter like going to it? We are thinking of doing it next year but can’t get any views from anyone.

We tried group sessions for my son for his 7+ prep and ended up leaving after a month. I think group sessions are ok for general help, but for something as specific as the 7+ exams, especially at that age, one-to-one worked a lot better for us. They also worked out the same cost, and we get a much more tailored experience with feedback at the end of each session, and he can focus just on the areas he specifically was finding challenging. That is just our experience though X

I agree with this - the classes are just more school! and boring!
I have done MGS and St Pauls 7 plus and St Pauls 11plus with Tayberry.org.uk and they match DC with tutors based on personality and make it really fun. I can't recommend them enough. Dm me if you have any questions about fees etc - it is all 1:1 but they are based in the North and I was shocked at the prices of group lessons in London compared 😂

Thank you all, this is very helpful. We have a very bright and engaged son who already works 2 year ahead so might just look at som gentle prep. Looking at the sample tests the level required at those schools is very very high.
