I found this lady with good cv for creative writing. She is nice .
I am happy until I found out her homework is print out from twinkl . Now I don’t know what to think .

Another group zooming lesson is much cheaper £25 for 1 hour . And no twinkle but a proper book on amazon and then comprehension all based on this book . Once book finished then a new book next .

Twinkl offers only very limited free materials.
Lost people pay to use their content.

If you knew she paid for it would it make you feel any better?

I hate Twinkl. But what the tutor expects for payment is reasonable. Try researching tutors in other parts of Britain online and see what comes up. I currently have a tutor who prefers to teach lessons via Zoom, I see her once a week on Wed mornings at present.

She sends me the homework via email as well. Check out a few different tutor profiles and pick one you actually like etc. Oh and I sometimes use a textbook in the lessons for variety and balance in addition.

Look at her reviews and determine if they are positive or negative.

@Robinsanpaku I looked at eruditetutoring before but heard mixed reviews. Especially some of the class sizes, no way they can be that beneficial.

I suppose if you're on a budget then it's OK but when you really need that pass I would pay more to have a qualified teacher. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. No well reputed teacher will charge £5 it isn't worth their time when they can easily earn £30+ so it must be due to class sizes, some i've seen are over 100. What a waste of money imo.

My DN needed 1:1 or small group and needed the structure. We used mathsconcierge.co.uk who have been amazing and really helped with his mental health. We lost a family member and I rave so much about Maths Concierge because they handled it so well and gave him the confidence again. The kids are so damaged from COVID they need that personal touch.
