I’m looking for a maths tutor for my child, Year 4, who’s bright and keen to learn. I would like personal recommendations and experience with grammar schools in North London/Herts. Based in North London and 1-2-1 tutoring preferred. Thanks!

Hi, Miss Bisi tutored my children for the 11 plus. I now have one at Habs and another at NLCS. completemaths11plus.com

11 plus exam tuition centre in Harrow, but it’s very fast paced. North London grammars are hard to get in and some children work really hard and are exam ready by Christmas. I know you asked for 1:1 but we found one to one not much of a challenge . Centre do one to one top ups for weaker areas but be prepared for hard work because children who attend the centre are extremely bright. Only choose if your child is smart and can cope with all extra homework. My nephew is top of his class but only scored between 85 and 88% in mock exams at the centre. Other children were constantly scoring 95 to 99%. He sat four exams and scored enough to gain a place in all schools . Good luck

Thanks @adha, it's going to be tough, I understand that. Harrow is a little too far for us. We are more Barnet area. Any other recommendations? Thanks again.

Hi, I can definitely recommend Tayberry - they're experts in the 11+ examinations. Their website is tayberry.org.uk
