Hello All! My DS is in Year 4x at a London Prep and I would like to start gearing up for Year 6 entrance examinations. He seems to be doing quite well academically so would like to give a go to the top London day schools (SP, Westminster, City, etc).

Would anybody be able to recommend a tutor that has direct experience of those exams, as well as a reassuring track record? Ideally face to face interactions (we are based in north west London).

Thank you! Smile

Are you still looking for a tutor? If so, have a look at Regency Tuition. They are London based and offer face to face and online tutoring.

You can private message me for a tutor recommendation. It has been a while since my children used this company but excellent track record and we still get updates from them. Central London-based.

Probably teaching to suck eggs, but when recruiting a tutor, check DBS - ideally should be enhanced DBS on the update service - obviously check subject knowledge and less obviously check if they can teach - a level 3 or higher in education should reassure you of that they at least know what they should be doing. Then perhaps sit in on part of a couple of the earlier sessions to assure the chemistry is right and good use is being made of the contact time. Hope this helps.
