Overwhelmed by 11 plus / Kent Test Preparation

Hi everyone,
My daughter is taking the Kent Test in a few weeks time and I am finding it hard to know how best to prepare her in these final stages. It seems like an impossible task for me at the moment having just had my youngest and I feel so overwhelmed and like I'm failing her. What are people doing in these last few weeks? She's a smart girl and I believe she has a v high chance of getting in to her target school, I don't want to miss a trick in this last push...

Thank you

Don't panic! You're doing your best and congratulations on the safe arrival of your baby! I've been through this process with my eldest, and things have come a LONG way since. We've used a lot of different platforms over the years, but have settled on using Atom Learning in combination with CGP books and YouTube Lessons. There are a wealth of free resources out there to help if you dig around! In these final weeks I would suggest that your prioritise mock tests and make sure she's used to taking them in exam conditions. xxx

Thank you RzWilson. It's easy to feel overwhelmed by it all isn't it? I want the best for my daughter and I'm so worried about pushing her too much. I think these last few weeks we'll focus on mock tests as you say. Will have another look at Youtube resources and the others you mentioned.

I’ve been through this too- I’d focus on mock tests, lots of bite size revision of the basics (quick fire times tables/division sheets), tonnes of reading and loads of sleep. Spot check the tests for any regular mistakes and plug gaps that way. Good luck 🤞🏼

Can you get past papers ?
Try timing her too.
Good luck

Thank you Bibbetybobbity and Bin85. I sometimes feel like a rubbish mummy because I seem to have done much less to help my daughter prepare than her friends mummies! I just don't think I can enforce 4 hour revision sessions for a 10 year old?! Past papers definitely seem the way forward don't they.

I think I am around next week if you want to message me?
I use Zoom.
