What do you look for in a tutor? :)

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this platform, I am currently a part time tutor but I am looking to expand. I genuinely do care about my students doing well and I honestly think education is so important. I would just like your opinion on what you look for in a tutor/tuition centre?

I want to make sure I am meeting the needs of my students and helping them rather than just making money. I thought the best way to find out would be to ask mums/potential mums themselves. If there is anything you feel you wish tutors did more, please let me know! Alternatively, if you are satisfied with a tutor you currently have, please can you provide details why? I would really appreciate it, thank you.

I look for someone who can help my child enjoy learning rather than just working through pages and pages of maths problems (for 11+)

@parietal

Thank you for responding, I actually cover 11+ so this is very useful.
I definitely agree with you, It's very important that as a tutor your students are enjoying their lessons as well as learning.

Please let me know if you think there is anything else that is important when you look for a tutor/tuition centre.
