University Tutor

My fiance and I are trying to make some extra cash tutoring at university level. We are aiming for student doctors, nurses, human biology and biomedical students. Due to the current covid situation advertising at the local university is very difficult as student no longer attend in person. Where would be the best place to advertise to find students?
Thanks.

What qualifies you to teach university students?

MacAnnie · 27/01/2021 08:27

My medical degree along with my experience of already teaching for the university and my experience of working in hospitals.

Could you look at A level students looking to do medicine? We just spent a fortune with mytutor to get dd the Chemistry and Biology grade she may have got if schools had been teaching from March.

First tutors, tutor hunt and tutorful are popular listing sites for all kinds of tutors. They do all take either a finders fee or cut of each lesson though.

My tutor is specifically for tutors who are uni students or have very recently graduated. Probably not suitable if you are already teaching at a university...

BeyondMyWits, I could look at them yes. Thanks for the message

Rosesinmygarden thanks for the reply. Hoping to tutor privately rather than through an agency. But I will be keeping it in mind if private tutoring falls through

Have you tried teaching students via social media?

I also tutor privately and avoid agencies so would try other avenues first.
Maybe look for some Facebook groups targeted towards medicine etc.
There is a "find an online tutor" Facebook group you can join and advertise on for free.
