I'm a qualified teacher and had an idea to set up a business being a mentor for students who aren't able to get to school. During these times it's understandable that many of them (especially teens) are losing their motivation and sense of direction when it comes to their future and studies.
I'm thinking I could do an initial Skype/Zoom session with them, discuss their hopes, interests, challenges and ambitions and then use my experience as a teacher to link that in to their current schooling; encouraging a new perspective on their learning so that they become more self-directed and self-motivated. Sort of like a mentor/educational coach.
This could then be followed up with bi-monthly/monthly check-in sessions, as appropriate for each student.
I thought I'd just put the idea out there and see if this is something that's of interest to people?
