Becoming a KS2 tutor... (maybe)

I'm at a point in my life where I really need to decide what to do next with myself in terms of earning an income.
I chose to stop working when I had my kids and take care of them and the house full time.

Over the last six years, I've worked as a Teaching Assistant in an Infant school, volunteered in a couple of Primary schools and am currently working as an MDA in my local infant school (mainly due to the short hours and the fact that we adopted a dog last summer and he kind of ties me to the house). Prior to that I worked in the financial services.

Ideally I'd like to work from home (because of the dog). And I want that flexibility to be around for my kids when they need me - although they are both teenagers (and seem to need their phones more than they do me!)

I've helped my own kids with their homework and also have heaps of experience of working with kids from infants through to juniors. I don't have a degree but had a good education which included A levels and a HND. I'm pretty bright - even if I do say so myself - and think I'm good at working with children and helping them with concepts etc.

We live in an area where the 11plus is available and there are several grammar schools nearby.

I'm thinking of setting myself up as a tutor for KS2 children and possibly KS3 for maths. 11plus seems an obvious thing to consider too.

Is there any advice anyone can give me with regards to what I'd need in the way of additional qualifications etc. I understand that a NVQ in PTLLS would be useful (I read about this in an old MN post). But I really would appreciate some views from tutors or teachers about whether what I'm thinking about is actually viable. Thanks in advance.

I'm interested in this too, did you get any further information?
