Thinking of getting DD a toddler trampoline for her first birthday (2 weeks away). I know she'd love it as she's had a go on a friend's. Thing is, which one? They seem to range from about 30 quid at Mothercare to a fancy Danish design one for £200!!

We have enough house and garden space that it doesn't ave to be foldable.

What would you recommend?

dd had one of these and it is in great condition 5 years on. Useful to be able to fold to put away over winter or carry indoors.

Thank you, LIZS. cyb, why wouldn't you get a trampoline for a child that young? Is there something I don't know about the hazards of trampolines? I assumed that since there are some that are marketed for 12 months+ and since my little girl can stand unsupported, does a lot of jumping up and down whilst holding on to furniture and loved her friend's toddler trampoline, it would be ok. But I'm willing to be educated!

I love the look of this one but can't justify the price...

agree with cyb, although your DD may be able to stand unsupported she won't be that steady yet. I had a friend who knocked her front tooth out when she slipped on a trampoline and hit her mouth on the handle bit (she was about 7 at the time). A 1yr old's balance will not be anywhere near as good. Not worth the risk IMO.

those ones with handles are ok but i thought you were angling for a big one for the garden
