Radio Flyer Wagons ... are they worth it?

I've been sold on the images of smiling toddlers sitting happily in their cherry red wagons - and have visions of pulling my toddler around Camp Bestival in one... but is the eyewateringly high price really worth it? Anyone got one and care to comment? And if you know where I can get one for less £s - please let me know!

My sister has one. They kept it even though her kids are teens now, because it somes in handy a lot.

She brought it when we took the kids to teh zoo and it is fab.

I love it!

We're going to buy one next time we're in the US and leave it in the box and bring it back as luggage.

Such a good idea expat, the US ones are half the price. I wonder if international shipping would be worth it...

I love the big all terrain ones with the pumped up tyres - totally cool. Zoo, park, shops... it would be great!

Brilliant toy, I bought a cheaper plastic version and its been played with in so many different ways, but I wish I had bought the metal version.

Yeah, they have a big all terrain one with chunky wheels. Was the biz, I'm telling ya!

We had the two teens and the girls, ages 6 and 4, picnic lunch, suncreams, towels, drinks, etc.

Nearly everyone with young children had a Flyer or similar style in tow.

We were given one by a neighbour and have to say we hardly used it at all, bloody dangerous going downhill and hard work going up!

My kids much prefer to cycle (thank God)

thelollipoplady · 03/05/2010 21:30

Ah serin, that's what comes of towing big kids around, mine are still too little to be anywhere near bikes so they'll fit perfectly. Thanks everyone, I'm sold - now just have to find a cheap one somewhere...

I haven't got one yet as I cannot find any in the UK with 'proper' tyres. DS does have a radio flyer trike though and it is really lovely and hardwearing

saw one in the great little trading compan for £80?
