Let's Cook Fruit Factory - anyone got it to work?

Hi everyone.

This is the first time I have ever posted on here and I really hope you can help. DD has just been given the above which is supposed to make smoothies and milkshakes. It is set up so you can make them, then pour it directly into lolly moulds. A really good idea for a girl who loves cooking.... or so my friend thought!

We followed all the instructions to the letter and the blender blade would not move. I tried to cut the fruit smaller in the blender (not easy as it has a safety guard on top). It moved for a short while, then stopped. It certainly didn't chop anything and it was only strawberries!
Has anyone had any success with this, or is it one of those presents that are no use? I will be taking it back as it apparently cost £20.

Do you know of any other children's smoothie makers?
Thanks for any advice.(hmm)

think it featured in the thread about presents not to nuy/ warnings/ dissapointing toys before christmas. thread title was something about the horror that was the chocolate coin maker....if you want to check out what people said

i find it useful to do an amazon search for the toy and then read customer reviews, see if people had the same problem!

Thanks for your help. The what not to buy thread was very useful!! I am going to take it back and complain and try and swap it for something else (non cooking!).

I felt really sorry for my friend who brought it. She was there whilst we were battling with it!

Thanks
