Too old for a mini micro?

Hi don't know what to do as my ds is 4 but tall & very uncoordinated with little experience of ride ons or a bike. He hates things he cant do & has tried scooters s few times but doesn't have the hang of it yet. I think the mini micro looks great & I don't mind if it just lasts till he is 5 next Autumn but will it be too small for him now & therefore will it be dangerous??? Please help urgent last minute Christmas Pressie!

In John Lewis they has this and a bigger version for bigger kids - looks good!

What about the maxi micro for him? My ds is 3 and quite tall, can't see that mini would fit him at 4, it's just right height now.

My son is 5 and loves his micro mini, he is about 110 cm tall, if that helps.

Ds is a pretty average height boy. He used a mini micro scooter til he was 6 when he graduated to the maxi micro, also wheeler, which at the age of almost 7 he still loves.
