Anyone know about Hornby Train Sets?

Does anyone have experience of Hornby train sets?

I've Santa's got one for DS1 for Christmas but it's second hand and there isn't any instructions so I don't know where to put those prongie things to make it work.

Evidently I'm not googling it right because I can't seem to get anything

Can MN help?
