jumperoo for 8 month old?

I want to buy my (very large) 8 month old daughter a toy which she can sit/stand in and be entertained .... I have heard the Jumperoo rainforest is a good one, but it is very pricy. Has anyone bought it? what do you think of it? is it suitable for 8mo? any other recommendations? Thanks

I would think at 8 months it's a bit late really, my dd enjoyed hers from about 4 months and was out of it by probably 10 months - didn't like the constraint by then - so I think it would be a waste of money now.

Yes I was going to say exactly what privet said. DD loved hers from 4 months but was bored by about 9/10 months.

Where are ya madigan? You can borrow ours if you're close.

Ghouls - that's kind of you - we are in glos/oxon ... any good?

Any other suggestions for a very active 8 month old who likes to be on her feet, but obviously cannot stand alone yet ...........

Ah, we're probs a bit far, we're in North Bucks.

Is 8 months too old for a door bouncer? I know they're cheaper but don#t know the age range as we never had one.

PrivetDancer · 02/12/2009 17:23

yeah that's what I was going to suggest too - at least if you don't use it for long you've not lost too much money. If she likes standing up though, I'd probably be propping up against the sofa and she'll be cruising soon enough - hours of fun!

We had a door bouncer and both my boys were too big/old for it by 8 months old. What about a push-along walker?

We had this one and both my boys had good use out of it for a long time.

I love the wooden ones - some lovely ones here.

Thank you all for some great ideas
