Any recommendations for an activity gym?

DS is 6 weeks and very keen on kicking and waving his arms in the air wildly. I think he might like a gym. I've seen this one but can't find any reviews.

I'd love to know which ones have kept your DC occupied and happy...

Tiny Love ones are good - they're low enough that a little baby can reach the toys.

I really like this one from M&P though, because it's cushioned. DS fell asleep under his gym all the time

This one looks good too, and good for tummy time play as well

Thanks for those suggestions! Imove we have the rainforest swinging chair, which DS loves (although the music drives me insane) so he'll probably love that one too.

Do you need a musical one, or will a baby be happy just to watch and touch hanging objects? DS is rather into sensory overload..

Thanks so much for your help,

Never had anything with music, just put on a CD for background music

I got the one you linked to and sent it back straight away as it felt so plasticy (sp?) my SIL gave us one out of argos by beanstalk it was a tiger and I attached a few of the toys and it was great. I used it again for my DS.
We also had a tiny love one with sea things on it which was good as well but mainly it was used for the mat rather than the things hanging from it IYKWIM.

The 3-2-1 fisher price one looks nice but is a bit rubbish for the money. And the tune it plays gets annoying very quickly! Their new precious planets range is nearly as pretty as the rainforest stuff but seems a bit more basic and cheaper.

We had one (not fisher price) which was like a house and opened out to become a playmat, then when they can sit up/crawl it is like a mini playhouse for them (though useless for DS as he was pulling up as soon as he could and it wasn't strong enough)

A couple of my NCT friends had [http://www.mothercare.com/Fisher-Price-Rainforest-Melodies-Lights-deluxe/dp/B001CPJ0JO/sr=1-1/qid=1 256424621/ref=sr11/278-3599760-4033806?_encoding=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=60446031&mcb=core this kind]] (not nec. the rainforest design) which I think worked the best. Worth looking for one which has crinkly bits to kick and feel.

Oops sorry I meant the ones which are like a mat with a criss-cross arch over the top with toys hanging off. Tiny Love ones are good, would agree

I got a Tiny Love one and it's very nice, with little lights under the flowers and some awful twangy music that drives you insane.

Thanks for all your help!
