Reputable toy brands on Amazon?

Hi everyone! Im in the process of putting together a Christmas Gift List on Amazon for my 3 month old that I can share with family and friends. (Trying to get organised early!) My MIL has a tendency to buy stuff off of Amazon for him from brands I've never heard of so I'd like to know which brands on Amazon are reputable.

Some of the ones I've come across that I'm not familiar with are Tiny Love, hahaland, Jaques of London and Le Toy Van. But there are so many others! Please let me know if you've bought from these brands or which ones you stick to because theyre reputable! FTM here and the only one I recognise is FisherPrice!

Alternatively if you've got any handy tips on how to work out which brands are good and which are dodgy, please do share. TIA 😊

The brands you’ve listed are regular toy brands you will find in other retailers. That’s what I would do - google the toy / brand and if you see it in a normal shop you know it’s not a Temu toy.

I’ve had toys from jacques of London and le toy van. Both reputable toy makers and lovely toys

If the brand name sounds like word salad, it’s cheap shit from China. Melissa and Doug are on Amazon and are pretty good for this age. Smyths Toys is so much more reliable for toys and do great delivery options. I highly recommend sending people direct links to Smyths toys instead of an Amazon wishlist (don’t send the same links to different people unless you like duplicates) as Amazon tends to be more expensive than Smyths for real brands.

Google the brand. If you can buy it in Smyths, John Lewis, , your local posh garden centre etc or the brand has their own UK based website, it’s decent.
We always liked Melissa and Doug, Hape, Bigjigs, Brio, Tiny Love, Galt, Fisher Price, Clementoni, Gibsons, Lamaze, Janod, Le Toy Van, Orchard Toys, Fiesta Crafts, Ravensburger, Tomy, Thinkfun

Amazing thank you for the advice! I think I'll ask for people to order from places like Smyths, Argos etc. Will also check out those recommended brands 😊
