Tiny Treasures Doll

Morning all. Long time lurker, first time poster so please bare with!

I recently bought DD a Tiny Treasures doll from a bootsale (weighted doll with a soft body, 'realistic' plastic head and arms and the WORST hair I've ever seen). These dolls retail at about £50 I believe so I was quite chuffed with my bargain, however it's quite dirty. My question is, how on earth do I clean it?

I'm tempted to stick it in the washing machine but they weigh nearly 3lb so I don't fancy wrecking the drum. I also have no idea how to wash its hair so if anyone has successfully washed synthetic hair (and made it look decent!) please let me know what on earth I do!

I’ve washed the hair with fabric conditioner which worked quite well, they do look even more disturbing with wet hair though!
