17 month old bedroom ideas

Hi all.

Im looking to change up my 17 month olds room now she’s more of a toddler than a baby! She currently has a chest of drawers and a wardrobe which is far too much. So the drawers are being moved out for her new baby brother or sister to use! This will give us a corner of extra space in her room.

I just wanted to know what things your toddlers enjoy having in their room? I thought a teepee as she loves books but I’ve seen some negative reviews of them!

Just for context we don’t have a playroom so her main spaces are her bedroom and the livingroom. So we want to make the most of any space we have!

Thanks in advance!

At that age, my son had a wee rocking horse (well, a rocking giraffe), some building blocks and a wooden bus in his room and the rest of his toys were downstairs. He got a tent for his 2nd birthday, so the rocking giraffe got swapped out for the tent as it takes up a lot of floor space in his small room!

Get a trofast storage unit if you can, my toddler loves his and its ideal for all the little toys. I dont get the ladder type, just 3 in a row x

Thanks for the replies! She already has a couple of kallax units so they take up most of the space!

@Tofu35 does your LO play with the tent? I’d love to get one but don’t want to take up precious space! Also considering getting a little toddler table and chair for crafts!

My boy is the same age and we’ve just redone his bedroom as a jungle theme, I know it’s controversial to use Temu so I’ll probably get slammed but I bought loads of beautiful animal wall stickers along with a load of animal soft furnishings and he just loves being in there and smiling at everything! The things in his room that he gravitates to are his bookcase (a sling back one) with his millions of books (he loves them too!), his duplo box and his toy box with all his smaller toys in
