Baby doll recommendations

I'm planning on getting my niece her first baby doll for her first birthday. I want it to be something that is memorable and hopefully turns into a keepsake but in the meantime an every day kind of doll!

Not sure if I should get a soft one or a hard one so looking for recommendations please?

Many thanks

Baby Annabel went down well here. She's got a sort of hard face but a soft body and is a nice size. Very cuddlable. And really good quality; definitely won't break. She's sort of traditional looking too though so could be something your niece will keep. Most toy shops and places like Argos and Amazon will have Annabels.

Definitely Baby Annabel. She gurgles and sucks a bottle and has a nappy (she doesn’t wee). The only doll my GC liked. She wears prem baby clothes so is easy to buy clothes for.

100% Baby Annabelle too, but at that age I would go for a 36cm size little baby annabell rather than the larger 43cm size as they are heavy. They do interactive ones that make cute noises etc in the smaller size as well and of the (many many) baby Annabelle's we have they are the favourite here as very sweet

Baby Annabelle it is! Thanks everyone that's sorted and love that everyone said the same!

We loved the Pomea doll by Djeco. It has a soft body so can be dressed easily. My son takes it everywhere. If you want a doll she can put in the bath you need a hard body doll.
i just didn’t like the ones from JL at all as all looked like horror films!
