Baby-safe playmat?

Hi mums!

I want to buy a play mat for my daughter to play on the floor, one that is soft enough for tummy time etc and can be easily cleaned, and I'm overwhelmed due to the fact that many of those are considered toxic.

Do you know of any play mats that are safe, as well as affordable?

Ps: we already have a baby gym, I really just need a surface to lay around the floor. I love the interlocking tiles but this foamy material seems to be the worst!

Thanks!

I used an ordinary single quilt in a cover. It was thick enough to provide padding and the cover (and quilt) could be easily washed in a home machine.

Totter and tumble do nice play mats. They are pricey though.

Totter & Tumble list their non-toxic info in their FAQs page so you can check they meet your requirements. They are expensive but the best thing we’ve bought for baby, our friends are still using theirs with their 3yo. We get 90% of our stuff second hand but splashed out on that and I’m so glad we did.

Another vote for totter and Tumble. So worth it. I like to sit and lie on mine to (and in an ideal world would exercise on it...)

Thanks everyone!

What makes totter & tumble so special, to justify the price tag?
