Globber or Maxi Micro Scooter

My 5 yr old has asked for a light up scooter for Christmas. Are the globber ones worth buying or is it worth paying more for the micro scooter brand? Or are there any other brands anyone can recommend? When do kids tend to want to move from 3 wheels to 2 wheels?

I absolutely love the Globber. Great quality and 2 years later still looks brand new.

And I should say I'm not against paying for a brand. It was just what was in stock in pink when we got them. And I wouldn't pay more now for any other brand. They are great.
