2 years old - Scuttlebug or Balance bike?

LO loves ride on vehicles and has a little ride on 3 wheel motorbike thing he adores at Grandma's. They love zipping around on it and can ride well, but have trouble steering (they tend to scoot and adjust direction).

We were looking at getting them a new ride on for here (have a tiny 4 wheeler and they're a tall toddler) but are torn between a proper balance bike and a scuttlebug.

Help!

I'd go for a balance bike or a scooter.

We had a scuttle fun at one and scooter abs balance bike at 2. She's 3 now. Loved scuttlebug (abs still scuttles, but she's far to big now acc a tall girl). Took off on the scooter shortly after 2 abs still hasn't really got into the bike. Might make a difference where you have for them to ride it?

I would go scooter if you haven't already got one.
Otherwise balance bike

Agree with pp, I think with scooter or balance bike, your LO will get so much more use out of either of these. My DS2 had a scooter before the balance bike and it was amazing how quickly he picked it up, I also think it's helped with his balancing for on a bike too.

Scuttlebug is too small for a tall 2 year old. Definitely a balance bike or a mini micro scooter - my 4 year old still uses the one she got at 2.

DS had a balance bike at 2 but it wasn’t until he was 3 that he really got into it. He loved his scuttlebug at that age though. Different children develop at different rates 🤷‍♀️ He’s now nearly 6 and a very keen little biker.

Balance bike, the seat can be adjusted according to height. I found my DS always looked a bit awkward on the Scuttlebug as it was too low.
