Small doll house ideas for small rooms

Hi everyone I'm looking for some help please. My daughter is 5 and I was thinking about buying her a dolls house this Christmas the problem is her room. It's a very small room. For the size of it I've managed to do quite a bit to it saving space with storage bed and shelving. I've been looking for smaller dollhouses or one maybe you can store away after use. Any advice would be appreciated. I could possibly put it down stairs but if she wants one to put in her room and I buy a bigger one for downstairs I'll struggle to then find space in her room. I've hunted high and low on the internet to try find one. Thankyou.

Sylvanian families house?

Miracle29 · 11/08/2021 20:06

Thankyou for your reply. I've Just had a look at these and never actually thought about these as I've just been looking at houses for small dolls but I suppose if I could get dolls a similar size to the sylvanian it could work. I hate that I have to work around the room but I'm trying to do it so I leave as much space on the floor (even though that's very little) for her to play aswell.

We have this one and you could add extra furniture. They also have a variety of bigger ones.

My daughter has a small room so has her dolls house on top of a small chest of drawers, it means it doesn’t take up floor space and is a great height for her to play at stood up or sat on a chair.

Thankyou so much for all your replies I'm glad I posted. So many good ideas. I'll have a look at them all. I have found some people actually using a shelf to put them on but I'm not sure this is safe just incase she leans on it and it breaks ect

We have the Playmobil take along house and it's great. Comes with loads of accessories and compatible with other Playmobil sets so ours often stands in a a farmer's house among fields of various Playmobil animals.

We have the playmobil one and we really like it

Miracle29 · 11/08/2021 20:45

The playmobil sound popular. I like you can take along if she was going to her grandparents and wanted to take it with her.

Playmobil take along house is fab, when I lived in a studio flat with DS till he was 2 he loved playing it with it and it all packed away in to itself which was so handy!

He is 7 soon and sometimes drags it out to play with still. But now the imaginex batman and Spiderman live there in some sort of bromance 🤣

Miracle29 · 11/08/2021 21:30

😂 that made me giggle. Definitely looking to invest in the playmobil i think.
