Father's Day Gift Idea for an enthusiastic German learner

I hope I'm posting in the right place. Hopefully, I get a response!

DH loves languages - he's learnt French, Japanese, Arabic, Russian in the past and has recently started learning German. At first, DS thought German version of scrabble would be great but ditched the idea as it didn't seem to work well with the language. He's now considering to get Ticket to Ride Germany, though, it's nothing to do with language. He has to decide quickly otherwise it may not arrive in time.

Appreciate any recommendation.

“Jesus liebt mich” by David Safier, is a hilariously funny German novel, (yes, they do exist!) if your DH is able to read conversational level German. I had to dip into my dictionary a bit at first as I was v rusty (did o level German 50 years ago at school!) but soon got back into it. It’s available via the English Amazon website for £3.95.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll have a look, though he's just started so it may be too ambitious. 😂

Might tell you the reason for his recent fascination with the language. He's been reading about Beethoven and listening to his music this year and now dreaming about visiting the cities related to the composer. DS could get something to do with him (but DH has many books and CDs of him already)...
