My older son attends a SEN school, which means we spend approx 20/25 mins driving each way and at pick up time a good half hour stationary in the car in the queue. I have to take his younger brother with me, who is about to turn one (I can't change the set up, it is what it is. Please no guilt trips about how long we spend in a car each day!!)
Before lockdown, baby would nap or be entertained by some basic books or those dangly Lamaze style sensory toys. But now he's had ten weeks without the school run and is almost one. He's obviously not old enough for most of the busy books/colouring/lap trays with Lego etc but he's outgrown the baby toys and has worked out how much fun it is to throw things!
Any toy recommendations to entertain him, preferably without screen time? He's rear facing and it's the stationery part of the journey we have trouble with. I've twisted my back spending so much time leaning round. Also, the queue occasionally moves so I can't really get him out of the car seat or sit him with me, just in case.
