Confused about Nintendo Switch Lite!!

So I have a dilemma..... had planned on getting my 2 sons (5&7) a Nintendo 2DS for Christmas..... nope not to be as they are out of stock everywhere 😰😰😰😰. So I have had to research something else, begrudgingly considering the Switch Lite......even though I think it's too expensive since I have to buy 2.
Most shops offer the bundle where u get your hand held + a game- means you get £15/20 reduction on the game.
If I buy 2 but with different games can the games be played on both switches.. can they swap them about by putting games into either hand held?? I am completely clueless about all things computer games and panicking now as I have left it so late!!!
Wonder is anyone likely to get the 2ds in again before Christmas 😏😏😏

Would buying one Switch original work? You can play co-op , and with the tv option. More games are compatible too

Also game seem to have the 2DS bundle in stock?

Were you really going to buy them a 2ds each? A 5yo could break it at any moment- my ds broke when I caught my leg in the charger cable and pulled the ds off the side- I was 36!
I don't think any consoles are robust enough for a 5yo. The Amazon fire might be a better bet if you want a gadget?

I broke my ds within 1 week and had to pay £70 tp repair whuch took weeks.

I would look at the original switch which they can play together on a tv

Thank you so much everyone for your replies 😁just went with the Switch between the 2 of them..... I'm sure they will fight over who gets the handheld but sure......they have got plenty of other presents as well so £280 on a game console enough!!

We have 1 switch between 2 its fine
